I spent three weeks volunteering at an orphanage in Kenya, and it was the best experience of my life! Although the orphanage was quite basic, the accommodation that I was put in was very comfortable. The people were amazing, friendly and very hospitable, and the children were a delight - always smiling and so happy to see me everyday! It was such a worthwhile experience that I'm counting down the days until I go back.

Helping Kenya as an organisation were brilliant. It was the first time I went to Kenya, let alone Africa and was quite apprehensive, but I spoke regularly to the founder who has not only been to Kenya many a times, but is married to a Kenyan, so before I left, they were always there to talk me through my apprehension. As soon as I landed, all these feelings melted away as I was greeted out there. The price was very reasonable and I only wish I was back out there!

If I could, I'd go back tomorrow!

Thank you Helping Kenya!

I spend 4 weeks at Helping Kenya's Dolphin Welfare and Eco Tourism Project in March of this year.

What to say about my time there? Well there were so many wonderful things I don't know where to start. The dolphin research trips where most certainly a highlight. The project staff were do friendly, and the managing team of Jane and Steve were such a laugh, and really knew their stuff.

Helping Kenya were very helpful, and helped me a great deal before hand, in helping me find the right project for me, and were so easy to approach. Not to mention they were great value. I knew they were on the end of a phone whenever I needed them.
