Overview

We are a bilingual school in the mountainous region of Ocotepeque, Honduras. The school, which teachers kindergarten through 11th grade, enables children to have a better future, with a greater potential for a successful life by integrating English and Spanish, and now French

My Little Red House Bilingual School started in 1998 as the dream of Alba Gloria Penman in the backyard of the Penman family home. Today, the school is an institution, well-respected within Nueva Ocotepeque.

The school needs the help of its donors, as well as international, native English and French speaking volunteers. If you would like to contribute to the success of our school, please contact us at: littleredbilingualschool @gmail.com. Thank you for taking the time to learn us.

Teaching and living in Ocotepeque, Honduras was an incredible experience and both challenging and rewarding. Ocotepeque is a safe town tucked away in the mountains of the western part of Honduras, far from any crime from the major cities.

The Penman family are very welcoming and go out of their way to make volunteers feel at home. I cannot praise this family and their school enough, and encourage anyone who is interested in volunteering abroad to take advantage of this opportunity.
