Overview

Overview

African Impact’s AIDS Education/Orphan Day Care project sees volunteers travel to St Lucia, South Africa for 2 weeks to work 1st hand with orphaned children in a day care centre, where they are educated about protection against HIV/AIDS.

The HIV epidemic has had an extremely negative effect on the people, economies and families of many African nations. Volunteers who choose to support, educate and raise awareness of HIV/AIDS in these countries will be able to positively influence the way communities move forward.

From supporting children who have lost one or both parents to AIDS to teaching youth and adults about transmission, volunteers will see the immediate benefit on the ground.

We will be travelling in a group of 6 from Northern Ireland to South Africa on 11th July, 2014.
