Animal Management interns with ALERT assist with the hands-on day to day welfare, care and management of the lions in stage one of the African Lion Rehabilitation and Release into the Wild Program.

ALERT Project Management is looking at the project as a whole. Interns work alongside the management team to assist in all areas that are vital to the smooth running of the organisation.

ALERT interns in Teaching, Childcare and Healthcare work alongside staff at schools, orphanages and medical centres to benefit local people and help to create a link between community and wildlife.

As an intern in Hospitality, you would act as the welcoming face of ALERT and its partners to ensure that guests who spend time at our projects are taken care of during their visit.

The primary focus of the ALERT Research internship is to collect and record important data on the lions in the release stages of the African Lion Rehabilitation and Release into the Wild Program.

The ALERT Film and Photography internship offers the opportunity to film the most iconic wildlife in Africa - lions, elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and antelope - up close and personal.

The Fundraising and Marketing internship involves all aspects of promoting the activities of ALERT, from developing strategies and new ideas, to updating web pages and working on printed materials.

ALERT aims to protect Africa’s wildlife through Conservation Education. Interns will assist experienced lecturers, both in the field and in the classroom, to teach the importance of conservation.
