Education lies at the core of our development and conservation objectives, because knowledge builds individual capacity, understanding and ultimately creates greater choice.

Big Beyond Uganda volunteers live within the Great Rift Valley on the edge of a mountain rainforest called Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, in the far south west of the country.

You could become involved in projects that positively impact community health, enterprise, education, tourism, culture or national park conservation

This will not be your stereotypical office environment; you could be working under the shade of a tree, from a local homestead, or sat at a picnic bench overlooking stunning African vistas.

On your doorstep there's an abundance of activities to suit different interests that you can enjoy in your spare time.

We work closely with local communities, listening to their views and ambitions, to ensure that our project goals are aligned with their needs. You will meet amazing and inspiring people.

Both of our programmes are set in remote and rural Africa. It's thrilling to go live where most tourists don't set foot.

You don't have to travel across every inch of Africa to experience what this continent is all about. Properly integrating with the locals is the most rewarding experience
