Expanding Opportunities

Expanding Opportunities’ mission is to increase self-sufficiency and cultural awareness through educational and charitable projects for people nationally and internationally. In Kenya, EXOP provides a HOME for former street children and girls rescued from early forced marraige and female genitle mutilation where children recieve with three meals a day, medical care, education, tutoring, clothing. At JWHS kids are learning sustainability with gardens, animal husbandry, solar power and solar cooking while gaining an education and living in a stable loving home. An artisan support project, Aina Moja is supports Kenyan artists while all proceeds of handcrafted fairly traded items fund JWHS through sales online and in downtown Belfast, Maine.
