Overview

THE IDEX PROGRAMS IN THAILAND, VIETNAM, INDIA, NEPAL AND SRI LANKA CONTINUE TO FOLLOW OUR ETHOS OF “TRAVEL THAT MATTERS” AND PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY TO THE TRAVELLERS TO HAVE A SAFE, ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE THAT LEAVES THEM MORE DEVELOPED THAN THEY WERE BEFORE THE START OF A TRIP. THE WAY THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGN, AND DELIVER, LEAVES THE TRAVELLERS AS WELL AS THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES ENRICHED WITH EACH OTHER’S PRESENCE.

ALL THIS IS MANAGED THROUGH THE WELL- TESTED AND ESTABLISHED PROCESSES OF IDEX TO ENSURE THAT THE INTERACTIONS AND ACTIVITIES ARE RESPONSIBLE TOWARDS BENEFIT OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES, VOLUNTEERS AND LOCAL INSTITUTIONS.

I had a horrible experience with Idex company in India. It's a rip off company. I was in medical volunteering and as I am a nurse I was volunteering in hospital in north India. Nobody at the hospital knew what I was doing there, and I never had anything to do, I was just sitting around. I complained so many times but nothing happened. After I came back home from India I wrote a complain letter to the company I was traveling with about Idex and to Idex and they solved my problem with refunding me all my money back. The company seems to do that alot if you complain, if you don't complain (when something is not right) they walk over you on their dirty shoes.

Well were do I start!!! My experience in Chiang Mai has been life changing, from my experience teaching 3 year olds at the Ubonluck Kindergarten, to seeing 1st hand an amazing culture.

The staff at the kindergaten were so helpful and friendly and the children were just beautiful and so eager to learn a new langange, they loved all the activities I played with them.

I was the only one staying at the camp for 2 wks and was not lonely at all, Ning the house keeper was so nice and cooked some delicious meals and also made the best shakes!!! May came everyday to help prepare lessons for the children and Chanya was my saving grace, what a wonderful person to have around, running the Chiang Mai camp. She really looked after me and showed me around, we had lots of laughs and fun together!! Also I cant forget Mr Mon our driver, he was amazing always on time and loved helping out when needed, I also had the privilege of teaching his little boy at the kindergaten

The trips were also great, loved seeing Chaing Rai, on the way to the white temple there is a great coffee stop at doi chang coffee, the white temple, the hot springs, the night bazaar in Chiang Mai is a must for that special something or souvenirs.

Thank you to everyone involved in my life changing experience!!!
