Overview
La Casa del Artista is a live/work space providing artists, musicians, writers, and multimedia artists a chance to experience a unique culture and to give back to youth. With one location in Prague, Czech Republic the second in St Thomas, Virgin Islands and a third in Chiang Mai, Thailand artists can expect to be surrounded with an abundance of new culture, language and music when visiting any of the residencies. La Casa del Artistas focuses on making artists more productive by assisting them in traveling and experiencing a different culture. Artists are then required to take their findings and translate it into free youth arts and education workshops in either the location of the residency or their community.

What a beautiful adventure! Anderson Illustrations had an opportunity to paint a large mural for the kindergarten in our small remote village in northern Thailand. The children were hands-on in painting a mural designed by artists Shane Anderson and Matt Hintz. Everyone had a blast! A special thank you to Chelcie S. Porter of La Casa de la Artista for making many dreams come true. The village and everyone involved will remember this their entire lives!
