Overview
Openmind Projects (OMP) is a totally independent NGO. Our field projects, Training Center and staff are funded from overseas volunteer contributions. We are not a volunteer or travel agency.
Based in Nong Khai, Thailand, we currently support some 60 aid, development and education projects in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Nepal. We aim to bridge knowledge divides by helping the underprivileged gain access to better learning opportunities with the help of IT and to contribute to the conservation of our environment.
We arrange for committed volunteers to work in aid and development projects with local colleagues in Southeast Asia. We offer a well known and much appreciated Volunteer and Cross Culture Training Abroad in Thailand program in Thailand.

Get involved with village life, empower locals and help conserve our environment with our community based ecotourism projects.
Teach English to children in schools and put our "learning by doing" teaching philosophy into practice to make lessons engaging and educational!
If you have medical experience you can volunteer at one of our health care projects, helping out overworked staff and using your English skills to teach and to prepare information.
Work with marine conservation in South Thailand to preserve coral reefs and marine wildlife, and get a chance to dive in places where tourists can't reach.

Great grassroots organisation that supports young people in the area to upskill and learn english for free - such a valuable centre for students and kids!
The team is wonderful, so friendly and the other volunteers at the centre are all really helpful.
Working on teaching english and also doing projects that support the organization too that I have strengths in.
Just a great NGO doing such good work!
