Teach A Woman 2 Fish Jama

Teach A Woman 2 Fish is a program of Umayat Spiritual Education Circle for Self-Realization. The target is domestic violence survivors in Jamaica. We offer training programs in financial literacy, on-job skills training, entrepreneurship training and micro-lending to graduates of the program.

Research proves offering access to employment and educational training prevents survivors from returning to violent intimate partner relationships because they become economically secured. Survivors of domestic violence in third world countries suffer more due to a lack of family and government support to stabilize them financially. Fleeing from a violence relationship has significant economic cost attached, to escape and survive. Help us to empower and prevent violence against women.
