I applied to go with my boyfriend at the time to volunteer and teach children in Africa and unfortunately Covid happened and the trip was cancelled. Someone told me I would contacted to receive my refund but no one did. I have tried to contact numerous times over the past 7 years trying to get $9000 back but I have not been able to get through! I would really appreciate if someone could please contact me

So incredibly sad to this day. Mine and my cousin’s trips were cancelled due to Covid and neither of us ever received a refund from the organization or our airline. This organization ghosted us and never explained. So heartbreaking as I was so excited and have never let myself even consider a big trip before this one.

VESA have withheld 75% of my refund following the cancellation of my trip last year, and are now refusing to answer my emails and voice mails. The 25% of the refund they have issued was through the 'personal' payments option in PayPal preventing me from accessing any consumer protection or PayPal's policies. The trip looked like an amazing opportunity, but I urge you not to give VESA your money.
