Educacion Plus

Educación Plus de Nicaragua (Education Plus of Nicaragua) is an NGO that works in the marginalized urban outskirts of Granada, Nicaragua, in order to prevent children and adolescents from abandoning school, and above all to prevent them from becoming “ninos de la calle” – street children. We believe that education is the most important key to break the cycle of poverty, but it is always one of the first victims of this self-same poverty. The goal of the organization is to build a foundation which allows our students to achieve their dreams, and we have now registered over 250 children ages 4 – 15 from the poor barrio of San Ignacio de Pantanal. At ED+, we have lots of hopes and dreams – and we’re lucky enough to work in a place where it is possible to make them come true.
