Join LLI’s volunteer and education programs in a community in the outskirts of Lima, Peru! We work with kids and women in after-school and/or weekend programs in the following areas: English, Math, Chess, Art, Dance, Sports, Reading and Women’s Empowerment (community gardening, computer classes, etc!)

Sports and Games time after English class :) Our volunteers may be placed as a primary teacher (English for example) and teach 2-3 classes a day and help out in a secondary placement (Music).
Art class in Zone D! LLI currently works in two zones (neighborhoods) in Huaycan, Zone D and Zone S.
Soccer tournament day with Coach Karen! Come out and facilitate sport classes with us!
Group shot with some of our kids post tournament! We often empower the teens to organize sporting events and recently hosted a Youth Olympics in Huaycan!
Teacher Javier leads English class on Saturday mornings. Volunteers do not need prior teaching experience, just a willingness to learn and the ability to utilize existing resources that we have!
Student Beckham works hard in reading class, writing his book report! Notice in our pictures that we have lot of our our participants in the shots. This is because we focus first on our community.
