I highly recommend interning in Guatemala if you are considering it. It is a culture shock at first but the people there are so kind and the support staff is always there to help you with anything you need. The entire time I felt welcome, which made the adjustment from my home to theres a lot smoother. Additionally, this opportunity taught me a lot. Leaving Guatemala I felt that I gained knowledge in their culture, language, and way of living. I also felt more confident in adapting in an unknown setting and that I can be independent in a foreign country due to challenges I had to face. I feel I have learned and gained valuable experience adapating, leading, and speaking a foriegn language. Ultimately, this trip is worth every cent because what you can gain from it you cant gain any other way.

I had the most amazing experience doing an internship in Cape Town, South Africa over this summer. I did a psychology internship for four weeks. IAHQ ,thank you for giving me the trip of a life time. The internship I did is very helpful for my future career and I am so grateful that IAHQ gave me this opportunity. IAHQ really helps you find an internship that is right for you. They were so helpful every step of the way. I met amazing interns and I made everlasting memories. I got to see a beautiful country while doing an internship related to what I am studying. Everyone I met was so friendly. I got to learn about a new culture. I definitely recommend this program to anyone who likes travelling and is looking for a trip they will never forget.

Participating in this internship abroad has had nothing but a positive influence on my life. Everything from the accommodations to my place of work was better than I imagined it. Living in a hostile with other volunteers who are working in the area made me feel like I had another family so far away from home. I was fed breakfast every day and dinner five times a week. Each meal was very good. I would definitely recommend this internship to anyone interested.

I enjoyed every moment of my volunteer experience in Arusha, Tanzania. I worked at a primary school called Assumption School that was conveniently placed very close to the accommodation. The student body was so kind and diverse in regards to tribal origins, religions, and socio-economic backgrounds. The staff were also so very welcoming and kind and helped me not only in class but also on the day to day by inviting my over to their places for a meal, and helping me buy fabrics and gifts for appropriate prices at the local markets and even for exchanging money! The accommodation was always clean, with amazing food and all other interns brought such positive energy that made this experience unique compared to that of past volunteer experiences. As a result, I was excited to not only go to work to see my kids, but also to go home and spend time with my new found family!

I would recommend Intern Abroad HQ to anyone. They were so incredibly helpful throughout the whole process of applying, interning, and reflecting post-internship. I have absolutely no regrets with interning through Intern Abroad, which gave me the life-changing opportunity to live and intern in Spain. With this experience, I was able to learn and grow an immense amount and build relationships with some of the most welcoming people in the world! At my internship placement, I was able to develop my Spanish language skills while learning how a healthcare nonprofit in Spain functions. I was also able to immerse myself in the Spanish culture, allowing me to learn and grow in more ways than one. I am forever thankful for having had this opportunity.

I volunteered in Cusco, Peru for 4 weeks at a clinic. In the clinic I worked with a Physiotherapist and worked with the patients they saw. The tasks included doing pain management with hydrotherapy, electrical stimulation, laser, and ultrasounds. The therapist taught me a lot I did not know and working in the clinic was very hands on. Prior to departure, my program coordinator was very responsive with anything I needed. There was an internship manual that explained everything I needed to know so there was not any surprises when I was there. The home stay were extremely friendly! I always felt safe and they were always there if I ever needed anything. I definitely will be doing another internship with InternAbroadHQ. The only mistake I made was not staying longer!
