The project was far beyond what I had expected. I spent three weeks in the department of cardiology of Somdech Phra Pinklao Hospital, Bangkok. On the first day I received a thorough schedule of what I was going to see and learn in the next weeks. The best part was the team: they gave me a kind and hearty welcome and everyone was very nice and willing to share with me everything they could about both cardiology and Thai culture. The clinical part of the internship was in English and, as I don't come from an English speaking country, I had to get familiar with a different terminology, which was challenging for the first few days, but at the same time it was most useful thing I got from this internship for my future medical career and it was what I am most thankful for.

Living in such a wonderful and different city like Bangkok is truly a life changing experience. I enthusiastically welcomed every peculiarity of the city and Thai culture, which is often curious. I needed a great open mindness to live this experience, but since diversity and uniqueness are two of the thing I love the most, it wasn't difficult for Bangkok and Thai culture to find a place among my best and beloved memories

I have just recently returned from Mombasa, Kenya, where I was volunteer teaching through Love Volunteers. This experience has forever changed my life for the better. My contact at Love Volunteers was very helpful and extremely quick to respond to any inquiries. The local partner team in Mombasa were amazing and really added to the overall experience. The staff and the Kenyan people are so lovely and welcoming. I did not encounter any overly stressful situations. And lastly, the students - I was in awe of them more and more each day. I have extensive experience working with youth and have never before witnessed such love, purity, and innocence. I did not hear one complaint while I was there and they are so appreciative of even you just being there with them. They are so respectful of their teachers and are extremely studious. They also all have such wonderful personalities and really are beautiful souls. I whole heartedly recommend taking part in one of these programs. Words really cannot describe it!

I don’t know where to start from. But in a nutshell, this was the best experience and the best month i’ve ever had in my entire life.
I arrived to Cherkasy on December the first, it was snowing. Too cold and new people, new language, however, i felt home in a very short period. The people here are great and friendly. The local staff in the orphanages are friendly and respectful as well. My coordinator Alexander was absolutely helpful and made it really easy for me to accomplish my volunteering work.
About the kids, nothing can describe how lovely they are, they are so amazing, they participate in every activity i prepare and made me feel really happy. I brought tears to my eye in my last day, whey came and asked me not to cry :(
Also they ask me to come back and made my promise to do so, and i will visit one day.

This month had changes my life, i realised how simple things can do for these kids.
Thanks for every one in Cherkasy, thanks Alexander and thanks Love Volunteers.

This was my tenth international trip and falls in the top three with half the cost. This was also my first experience planning a trip from start to finish and Love Volunteers made the process full proof. Everything from travel times, insurance brokers and the team on the ground was a smooth with step by step instructions and points of contact through the process.

We took a team of eight down to provide free dental work to an underserved community in El Porviner, Honduras. The people in the community, volunteers on the ground and the work the organization is doing was nothing short of remarkable. In the five days we were serving the community the team was able to see over 600 patients, providing more than $100,000 in free dental work. I couldn't be more thankful for the people that have made this all possible. I would highly recommend this trip!

Love Volunteers response

Dear Danielle, We can't thank-you enough for the contribution your group made to the people of El Porvenir and La Ceiba. What an absolutely pleasure it has been to work with you on arranging this placement. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience here to encourage others to contribute in a meaningful way and we thank-you for your kind words. Working with volunteers like your group is what Love Volunteers is all about; achieving a rewarding experience for both our volunteers and the local communities we support around the world. Thanks again and looking forward to working with you on your next volunteer trip. The Team @ Love Volunteers

I went volunteering for two weeks in India with Love Volunteers and it was the best experience of my life!! They coordinated with the local team from accomodations, to pick up from the airport, alimentation, local transportatation, train tickets, everything! Also they always respond very quickly and give you all the information and guideance previous, during and after your trip. I would definately volunteer with them again and recommend any of their programs to everyone!

Love Volunteers response

Hi Alejandra, We are so privileged to work with volunteers like yourself :-) It's been a pleasure to help arrange your placement in India and wonderful to hear your comments. I know from our emails during your placement that there were challenges with getting used to things in India (packed trains and the like) but you embraced these challenges and made them rewarding adventures! Thank-you so much for this review of our Golden Triangle Program in India and for your generous gift of time to the children in Delhi and elephants in Jaipur. All the very best for your future adventures and we hope that you are able to join us again. The Team @ Love Volunteers.
