Overview

Overview

Baraka African Cultural Centre is a non-profit cultural centre dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children aged between 7 – 18 years through formal education and equipment of skills in cultural music, dance and drama.
The word Baraka is a Kiswahili word that means ‘blessings’. Several of our children are orphaned or come from broken homes where the existing guardians or parents are unable to care for them.
We do this through training them different skills but most especially in the Music, dance and dram , but also , we run food festivals in different poor communities of Uganda and our main base now is in Masese , kosovo and kampala kisenyi. Here we feed over 500 people and children on a given outreach.
