Overview

Overview

In May 2015, 12 undergraduates from Framingham State University will be traveling to volunteer in Guatemala with an instructor. Some of the students will be volunteering at a school for low income children, helping with meal service, assisting in classrooms, and helping with Friday food distributions. Others will be caring for severely malnourished hospitalized infants/toddlers, providing care while these babies are away from home getting healthy. As a group, we will be bringing new and used clothing & 100 pairs of shoes for children in need. Clubs on campus are actively involved in gathering such items. Our biggest need is for funds to build homes for identified families. Construction costs are $4000 for each home – we hope to provide 2 families with simple safe homes. HELP US!

Funds for Needed Supplies

15 Feb 2014

I am excited that this group of college students is taking time to make a long trip to help others. From the 30 or so initially interested - it has narrowed to 11! The support from Framingham State and from all who have been donating to help the students given-back has been wonderful! Thank you! Thank you also to this terrific service to volunteers for fundraising!
