Our projects are Kaloleni around the rubbish dump community. We started up in Jan 2009 and have gone from a nursery school to having a number of projects including;
– Women’s empowerment sewing group – 7 women who were scavenging on the rubbish dump who now have a sustainable business
– Children’s home, with 6 abandoned children from the community.
– Nursery school
– Child sponsorship from nursery – secondary. Including health care
– Adult education programs – entrepreneurship & business development classes
– Vicoba Community bank – we have 30 members who have been part of our adult education program who are no starting business through the community bank loans
– Youth skill training for youth that have had academic problems and are no longer in school
